About K-MTN K-MTN TV is Lake Tahoe's Local TV Station located on Charter Communications Channel 9 in the city and county of South Lake Tahoe. We are dedicated to promoting Lake Tahoe and providing quality family oriented information about Lake Tahoe. K-MTN TV provides a forum for the people of Lake Tahoe to tell about community events, entertainment, and activities. The company itself has been around since 1984 and was Lake Tahoe's first television station. KMTN.COM was the first internet site to stream a live video camera, which was pointed at the shores of South Lake Tahoe (used by ABC and The Weather Channel). K-MTN TV was the first television station to encode and stream shows over phone lines to remote cable system head-ends. (K-MTN Founder and Pioneer Mike Conway) Today, the company is owned by Michael and Michelle McKinney (Purchased June 10, 2006) a former right-hand-man to Mike Conway and very close friend. The new studio is located by Tahoe Keys Blvd and Hwy 50, 2277 Lake Tahoe Blvd. It is an original 1940's Tahoe Log Cabin. K-MTN TV has grown to be a fully digital production house able to do just about anything.
